The three films are “Everyone’s Happy”, directed by Frances Lea, “The Battle Of Orgreave”, directed by Mike Figgis and “Motion”, directed by Tom Clay. All three movies were shot on video, not film, which was the industry standard. We find that more and more young filmmakers are shooting on video for a number of reasons, including budget, ease of shooting and alternative style. This movie brought together members of historical re-enactment societies from across Britain with local people from the mining communities of South Yorkshire, many of whom were present on the field in 1984. MOTION traces the existence of homeless middle aged Don, struggling as his life falls apart in Brighton, Britain’s working class seaside town during one cold off-peak season. "Due to the fact that the movie took place in a prison, there were an unusually high number of ADR, loop group and add lines to be done. Well over 500 in fact. We only had two weeks from locked picture to final delivery, a time frame that would have been almost impossible for any post house to complete.
