Our Video Editorial department has experienced Editors and top notch equipment to offer the best in video editing, from creative non-linear off-line to final broadcast quality mastering for international markets in both High Definition and Standard Definition.

High Definition Editing:

Magnetic North offers High Definition editorial services with our Quantel eQ and Final Cut Pro HD suites. Utilizing both Sony and Panasonic High Definition tape formats we can provide complete non-linear High Definition video finishing services in all the various HD formats and frame rates.

Non-Linear Online Editing:

Magnetic North offers two Avid Symphony suites. The combined power of our suites can help productions meet those increasingly tight deadlines. The Symphony provides a 24 frame editing platform which allows the final output to videotape in both NTSC and PAL. This eliminates the need for standards conversion and offers a better quality product for all your international markets.   

Our AVID Xpress Pro with Mojo  and Final Cut Pro suites could be the perfect solution for your next DV video project. These suites have hours of storage and the ability to provide many effects in real time in anything from DV video via Firewire, right up to serial digital Standard Definition video. AVID Xpress and Final Cut Pro is an affordable solution that still offers outstanding picture quality and flexibility.

Linear Online Editing:

Our component digital linear edit suite has access to Digital Betacam, Betacam SP, DVCAM and 3/4 inch videotape formats. Utilizing Sony's BVE-9100 edit controller, we have everything you need to ensure your production is finished accurately and quickly. The in-suite Delta character generator with logo capture and Adobe Photoshop help make any graphics manipulation and titling easy and efficient.

Non-Linear Offline Editing:

Magnetic North offers self contained Avid Offline Edit Suites. Our systems can be rented by the week or month at our location. For anyone seeking offline editing space for their own editing system, we offer furnished suites available to rent by the week or month.
